About Us

RESOLVE of Ohio, Inc. is a chapter of a national nonprofit organization that provides education, advocacy, and support for those who experience infertility or need information about any aspect of family building or infertility resolution. In 25 years in operation, the organization has grown from a handful of people meeting in a kitchen to an organization of thousands of members and contacts nationwide with administrative offices in Somerville, MA and chapters and peer support affiliates throughout the Unites States. RESOLVE of Ohio currently has over 300 members and operates outreach sites in Akron, Canton,  Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Mansfield, Sandusky, Toledo, and Youngstown.

For men and women who may be having trouble building a family, RESOLVE of Ohio is the best first phone call you can make, offering educational resources, support groups, and physician referrals. 

Our Mission

RESOLVE's mission is to provide timely, compassionate support and information to people who are experiencing infertility and to increase awareness of infertility issues through advocacy and public education. The services National RESOLVE provides to accomplish this mission include a quarterly National Newsletter, a telephone Help line, Medical Call-In Hours, in-depth Fact Sheets, a nationwide physician referral service, a member-to-member contact system, local chapter services and activities, and advocacy for legislative and insurance reforms.

RESOLVE has focused on the continuum of support, from medical treatment to adoption to the choice of child-free living in its response to its members' needs.

What Benefits does RESOLVE offer?

RESOLVE of Ohio is supported by membership dues, publication sales, and tax-deductible contributions from concerned individuals, foundations and corporations.  National and local chapters provide a variety of programs, newsletters, help lines, resource files, and other support services. Our goal is to provide programs of education (publications, National Newsletter, Fact Sheets), advocacy (keeping abreast of legislative activity that can affect those striving to build a family), infertility awareness (National Infertility Awareness Week) and support (National telephone Help line, referrals of physicians, member-to-member contact system).
